Eduardo Vargas, new Valencia CF player until the 30th June

Valencia CF has reached an agreement with la Società Sportiva Calcio Napoli for the loan of the Chilean, Eduardo Vargas until the 30th June 2014. Vargas, the Chilean International will arrive on Sunday, 26th January.

Vargas, one of the most contrasted and emerging players of Chilean football, has recently played in Brazil for Gremio de Porto Alegre. Eduardo, born in Renca, Santiago de Chile on the 20th November 1989, has participated in 48 matches during the season and has scored a total of 13 goals.

An interesting stat is that Vargas holds the Chilean record for scoring 7 goals in 6 consecutive matches, two of which came on the friendly match versus Spain which was played in Geneva on the 2nd September 2013.

Eduardo Vargas on ‘valenciacf.com’ has said that he is “excited to take on this new challenge in my career. I am very proud that an important such as Valencia has fixed their eyes on me, and now my only goal is to deliver and return that confidence in me”.

In regards to his new coach, the Chilean International has stated: “I’ve been told that he works really well and that he’s a demanding coach that calls for intensity from his players. I hope to provide that strength in these upcoming months in Valencia so that we can meet the goals that we set”.
