This Thursday, June 5th, the VIP box at Mestalla hosted the inauguration of the exhibition commemorating the historic 2003/04 double –a success which celebrates its tenth anniversary this year.
That season –the best so far in the club’s history- Valencia CF won the La Liga title and the UEFA Cup. As a result, they displayed their great football throughout Spain and Europe and consolidated a golden age for Valencia.
The Double Exhibition features numerous souvenirs from the protagonists of the epic campaign: From shirts to balls, culminating in both trophies, there are endless memories to be shared in the exhibition. The idea is to pay homage to the squad that made Valencia CF renowned as the best team in the world.
The full squad, managed by Rafa Benítez and his coaching staff, consisted of: Santiago Cañizares, Mauricio Pellegrino, Fábio Aurélio, Roberto Fabián Ayala, Carlos Marchena, David Albelda, Ricardo Oliveira, Rubén Baraja, Miguel Ángel Angulo, Juan Sánchez, Javier Garrido, Andrés Palop, Vicente Rodríguez, Amedeo Carboni, Fabián Canobbio, David Navarro, Jorge López, Francisco Rufete, Miguel Ángel Ferrer Mista, Pablo Aimar, Curro Torres, Xisco Muñoz, Momo Sissoko and David Rangel.
