85 monitors divided into 6 video walls will provide the customer with a unique audiovisual experience
Friday, November 28th was no ordinary day in Valencia. It was a day in which Valencia CF returned to the heart of the city, to inaugurate the new club Megastore that will be a point of reference amongst football clubs worldwide.
The mission statement for the store is not just to provide a sales space, but also to offer football fans a completely new experience in their support of the club.
Valencia CF and adidas further strengthen their alliance with a section that will be converted into a magnificent shop window for sports clothing and footwear made by the German multinational.
The fitting of the store changed the look of an incredible space in the emblematic Plaza del Ayuntamiento square. It consists of 1150m2, divided into 3 floors.
The design of the store is one of its main attractions. A unique space decorated to make Valencianistas feel right at home, it features a Sports Bar on the upper level, capable of holding 100 people. There, fans will be able to watch sporting events and sample food from an ample menu.
Bruno Arnau of Acierta, the company in charge of the design and fitting of the Megastore, stated: "At Acierta we wanted to respond to this challenge set by VCF in the best way we know how: Surprising people. This Megastore has been designed like a human body, with the brain, heart and energy of the club. It is a complex combination of design and technology which forms a unique space, which is exciting and surprising.”
On the rest of the floors, clothing and footwear will share space in facilities which will display the full range of products, set out in a manner to fully represent the values of the club and adidas.
In addition, the store will feature the best technology around. The spine of the new Megastore will be an 8 metre high video wall which will welcome those who enter. There will also be some 85 46’’ monitors, divided into 6 video walls, showing all types of digital contents and prepared for all types of presentations and events. A unique audiovisual experience will be provided, with a total of 52m2 devoted to images and powerful sound.
Another of the big novelties at the Megastore will be the ability to make purchases via digital methods, as well as personalising the products to each fan’s liking. A screen will enable them to select the desired product and modify it directly, then make payment and collect it at the end of a completely different shopping process.
The big novelty at the store will be a robot on the upper floor, which will hand over the shirts in an unforgettable finale to the purchase process.
Luis Vicente, Chief Revenue Officer for Valencia CF, commented that: "This is probably the most technologically advanced store for a football club in the world. Valencia CF want to be the leader in interactive technology, we want to change our sport and this is a first step that illustrates what we are starting out.”
