Mr Chiang was appointed Director VCF on 1 December 2014.
Mr Chiang retired from the Singapore Government Civil Service in September 2013, after an illustrious career spanning 32 years. He has held numerous leadership positions within the civil service, including in the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Education, Prime Minister's Office and Ministry of Defence.
Mr Chiang was previously Chairman of Rowsley Ltd. He is currently Chairman of the Central Provident Fund Board and PUB, Singapore’s National Water Agency, and Senior Advisor to the Ministry of Defence. He is also a Director of Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship. He serves as a Member of the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation’s Board of Trustees and the MCYC Management Committee of the MCYC Community Services Society.
Mr Chiang holds a Bachelor of Electronic Engineering (First Class Honours) from the University of Western Australia and a Master in Public Administration from the Harvard University.
Mr Chie Foo Chiang is the Chairman of Singapore’s Central Provident Fund Board, a world-class social security organisation, and the Chairman of Rowsley Ltd., a Singapore Exchange mainboard listed company with a market capitalisation of over €700 million.
Mr Chiang is also a director on the Board of the Lee Kuan Yew Exchange Fellowship, a member of the Asia Pacific Breweries Foundation’s Board of Trustees and a Senior Advisor to the Republic of Singapore’s Ministry of Defence.
Mr Chiang served in the Singapore Government’s Administrative Service, holding various senior appointments in the Ministries of Finance, Education, Home Affairs and Defence.
