Eduardo Cubells Ridaura (17/01/1900) is widely regarded as the most important Valencia CF player in the years that followed the club's foundation in 1919
He was the team’s first international player, and became the manager the of their second league win. He also worked as assistant coach for many years.
Eduardo Cubells was one of the first footballers to have ever played at the legendary L’Algirós stadium, located in the same neighbourhood where he was born and raised. For many years Eduardo Cubells shared protagonism with Montes, both players being greatly admired by supporters for their technical quality but also for their different football visions. His passing skills from the right side of the field were excellent, he was also the executor on the pitch and infallible from the penalty spot, he had an excellent dribble. Eduardo Cubells hang up the boots aged 28 and moved on to the club’s managerial positions. His left an important footprint in the club for 20 years until his resignation in 1959.
