Volkswagen will be official car of Valencia CF and will have presence at Mestalla and Ciudad Deportiva
Valencia CF will have a fleet of vehicles, and players will be able to drive new Golf Variant GTD and Passat Variant R-Line. Valencia, September 18th, 2015 - Volkswagen have reached a sponsorship agreement with Valencia CF, and will be the official car provider for the club during the 2015/2016 season. The agreement was made official in a ceremony held at Valencia Club de Fútbol’s Ciudad Deportiva, attended by Laura Ros, CEO of Volkswagen Spain, and Layhoon Chan, Chairwoman of Valencia CF. The two had previously witnessed part of the training session for the first team and greeted Nuno Espírito Santo and the players. Amongst other aspects, the agreement between the two organisations includes the provision of a fleet of vehicles for the Chairwoman, coaching staff and players, including the new Golf Variant GTD and Passat Variant R-Line. In addition, Volkswagen will have a brand presence at Mestalla and the Ciudad Deportiva as an official partner of the club, thanks to several high visibility advertising banners.
During the signing of the agreement between Valencia and Volkswagen, Valencia CF Chairwoman Layhoon Chan said that: “We’re delighted to be working with Volkswagen, a leading organisation which focus on performance and innovation. We remain the market leader in Spain over the past three years " The agreement is in place with immediate effect and Volkswagen will already have a presence at Mestalla for this weekend’s game against Real Betis.
