José Luis Gayà

He made his official debut with VCF in 2012

Born in Pedreguer, Alicante, he started playing football in his hometown sporting schools. At age eleven a Valencia CF a scout noticed him playing for a junior team, and made him an offer to join the club. When he came to VCF, Gayà showed his love for the club and dedication by making the daily trip from Pedreguer to Valencia with his father.

Playing for the Juvenil A side, he won the league and was called up for the Valencian regional team.

In 2012 he made his debut in an official match with the Valencia CF first team, in the first leg of the Copa del Rey game against UE Llagostera.

On December 12, 2013 he became the youngest player in the history of Valencia CF to feature in European competition, aged just 18. Last season he emerged as a permanent fixture at left back for the club.

He also features regularly for the Spanish youth sides, and last year debuted with the Under-21s –receiving continued callups to this day.
