Bernat played total of 49 official matches for VCF
Born in Valencia on March 1st, 1993, Juan Bernat was just 7 years old when he joined Valencia CF. He quickly moved up through the various youth teams at the club, and in 2011/12 he undertook preseason with the first team –for whom he had played the previous year in a friendly match against Alzira. After a great season, he officially debuted in the La Liga season opener in August 2011. He would play in the first team again in January 2012.
For the 2013/14 season, Miroslav Djukic put his trust in the young player and gave him a prominent starting role. Bernat would play a total of 49 official matches for VCF.
On July 7th, 2014, Bayern Munich signed him for five seasons upon the request of team coach Josep Guardiola.
For Spain, Bernat was called up by the Under-16s in October 2008. Later he was also selected at Under-17 and Under-19 level, winning the European Championship with his country. He represented the Under-20 team, the Under-21s and, finally, in 2015 was called up by the senior team to debut against Luxembourg.
