Vicente Rodríguez returns to VCF as member of Technical Staff

One of Valencia CF’s most charismatic players of recent decades, and a member of the side during its best period in history to date, Vicente Rodríguez, has come back to the club as part of the Technical Staff run by Sporting Director, Jesús García Pitarch.

Vicente Rodríguez joined VCF on July 1st, 2000. He was one of the players who featured prominently in a golden period for the club, playing in European finals and receiving call-ups for the Spanish national team (Vicente debuted for his country on March 28th, 2001, in a 2-1 win over France).

His first season with Valencia CF ended with the club finishing runner-up in the Champions League. They won the La Liga title in 2001/02, although Vicente’s best campaign was in 2003/04, when he became the best player in Spain and was ranked amongst the top three in the world by FIFA. Valencia CF won a La Liga and UEFA Cup double that year.
