Guilherme Siqueira was presented as a Valencia CF player on Monday afternoon, following the deal reached the previous Sunday to take him on loan from Atletico Madrid. After completing the routine medical alongside healthcare partner Divina Pastora Seguros, and training for the first time with his new teammates, the Brazilian spoke to the press in the Media Center of the Ciudad Deportiva alongside Sporting Director, Jesús García Pitarch. He would then pose with his new number 6 shirt, alongside VCF's Premieum partner Volkswagen.
Siqueira explained his feelings upon signing for the club, describing the move as "a joy; I have a longstanding admiration for Valencia CF, as I was close to coming here a couple of years ago, and when I learned of the possibility of joining the club I made the decision very quickly. When both parties are in agreement, everything is easier. The club have placed a lot of confidence in me."
Sporting Director Jesús García Pitarch gave a few words about the new addition to the squad, saying that "he has played for great clubs, but for us this is the biggest team in the world. Welcome to your new home. I want to thank Atletico Madrid and the player's agents for their conduct and treatment in bringing the player here."
What can you give to the team?
