Chris: French passion for Valencia

It all began in this beautiful city, where I spent five years of my childhood, when watching my first match at Mestalla, explains Frenchman Chris Bigot.

On a typically hot August day in 2003, my dad took me down for the first time to the stadium and from then on, I never stopped loving this club, this city and the Valencia culture.

It was a match between Valencia and Valladolid and we did not win but my favorite player at that time was Aimar, and he did score.

I knew it was going to be a great season and I was right. The club went on to win La Liga by five points ahead of Barcelona and then in May, 2004, I went to the Plaza de Toros to watch the UEFA Cup final against Marseille.

It was a tough game but we won after Barthez got sent off and the scorers were Mista and Vicente. I will always remember the happiness and pride that all the people felt at that moment, the best moment of my life.

A few months later, me and my father had to move to France where I live right now in Le Mans. Despite the distance, I follow all the Valencia games and I stay very close to the club, Valencia CF is my priority.

Every year I go to Valencia because I really love the atmosphere we can feel in the city, in Mestalla and the incredible passion that we Valencianistas have for our beloved club.

Valencia is the most beautiful city in the world in my opinion. It has it all.

In order to share my passion with the French fans of Valencia CF, I manage a Facebook page, Valencia CF France, where we talk about transfers, games, the team and so on.

I also manage another Facebook group, that is linked with my page, with my friend Jeremie Sarete. We have more than 700 fans on the page and about 200 in the group.

The French community also has a Twitter account managed by another friend of mine where we have 2,805 followers and my goal is to make this community bigger and bigger so that we can be known worldwide.

I have several dreams with the first to work for the club as a representative of the French supporters, that I know are each day ever more passionate. My second would be to live in Valencia because I really love the atmosphere and the people there.

Finally I would like to marry a Valenciana, and Valencianista, and to propose her in Mestalla.
