Valencia CF present book to support Elvira Roda

The book ‘Últimes vesprades a Mestalla’ was unveiled in a presentation at the Mestalla VIP box on Friday. Produced with the help of the VCF Foundation, proceeds from the sale of each copy will go to Elvira Roda, a sufferer of multiple chemical sensitivity.
The book emanates from a blog created in July of 2008, which gathers together memories of Valencianistas. Some of these entries were published in the first part of the work, which was produced in 2012. In this second volume, prominent journalists and writers also participate, and VCF legend Rubén Baraja has written the prologue.

Elvira’s mother and sister, Josep Bosch, historian and one of the writers of the book, Damià Vidagany, Director of Marketing for Valencia CF in Europe and also a participant in the work, and José Luis Zaragosí, patron of the VCF Foundation, were in attendance, along with VCF chairwoman Layhoon Chan –a longtime supporter of the initiative to help Elvira.

Baraja said a few words of encouragement to Elvira and all those who are behind her, and also sent out a message of optimism and confidence for fans of the club. Elvira herself sent an audio message that was played at the presentation.
