VCF Mestalla goalkeeper Antonio Sivera named in Futbol Draft team of the year

VCF Mestalla goalkeeper Antonio Sivera has been chosen in the ’11 DE ORO’ team of the year by Futbol Draft, in recognition of his extraordinary performance at club and international level. The 20-year old has been key to the good form of the Valencia CF second team this season, and has a bright future ahead of him.

Toni Lato was also acknowledged in the awards, named as part of the ‘11 DE BRONCE' team. Regularly training with the first team since the summer, the academy product is one of the best left backs of his age.
The eleventh edition of Futbol Draft’s awards, which have the support of all of Spain’s football institutions (the CSD, RFEF, LFP, AFE and AEAF) was chaired by former national team coach Iñaki Sáez, and participating on the selection committee were: Julen Lopetegui (Spain coach) , Jacinto Alonso (president of the Riojana Federation and member of the RFEF Board of Directors), Javier Lasagabaster (director of Futbol Draft), Albert Celades (head coach for the Spain under-21s), Luis de la Fuente (coach for the Spain under-19s), Santi Denia (Spain under-17s coach), Jorge Vilda (Spain women’s team coach), Pedro López (women’s under-19s cooach), Vicente Miera (former Spain coach), Miguel Ángel España (goalkeeping coach for the RFEF), Juan Carlos Gómez Perlado (RFEF fitness coach), David Gordo Mansilla (RFEF fitness coach), Raúl Ojeda (LFP), Jesús Barbadilla (AFE), Ángel Caballero (president of the AEAF), and Ana Rossell (womens football expert).
