Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation support those fighting against cancer

This Saturday is World Cancer Day,  and Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation are showing their support for those fighting the disease. Amparo, Carmen, Guillermo, Isabel, Jesús and Pilar, who have been diagnosed with cancer, watched part of the first team training session at the Ciudad Deportiva this week, and posed alongside the players for photo.
Joining them were the president of the IVO Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation, Dr. Antonio Llombart, and the director general , Dr. Asunción Perales, as well as VCF Foundation patron, José Luis Zaragosí. The six have also been invited to Valencia CF's game against Eibar this weekend at Mestalla.

The IVO Valencian Institute of Oncology Foundation is a private, non-profit organisation whose resources go entirely to the fight against cancer in all its aspects: Prevention, diagnosis, treatment, research and teaching.

Since its inauguration in 1976 the IVO has been at the forefront of treatment of cancer. The It is one of the first monographic centers in Spain, and the only non-profit centre for comprehensive cancer care in the country. It is also only oncological centre in the Valencian region. It invests its resources in the continuous renovation of its facilities to stay at the cutting edge of cancer treatments, acquiring the most advanced technology with the objective of offering the best assistance to cancer patients.
