The sixth edition of the Fórum Algirós, organised by the VCF Foundation, will take place on Wednesday, March 29th at the Cubo Amarillo de la Ciudad Politécnica de la Innovación in Valencia (part of the Universitat Politècnica de València).
The theme for the event is: “La huella de la memoria. Recuperando la historia del fútbol” ('The Fingerprint Of Memory. Recovering The History Of Football').
In the roundtable discussion, participants will analyse the heritage recovery work being undertaken by football clubs. Those involved will be: Iñaki Mendoza, museum director and historian at Real Sociedad; Manuel Tomás, of the Documentation Centre at FC Barcelona; and Loles Ruiz, head of the VCF Foundation's Department of Heritage and Museums. The moderator will be Salvador Muñoz from the Valencian university, where he is a Graphic and Documental Restorer at the Heritage Restoration Institute.
The five previous editions of the Fórum Algirós have been: “Conexión Vintage: Kempes”, in February 2016; “Bronco y copero. 75 años de la primera Copa”, in May 2016; “Blanquinegre. A 90 minuts de la glòria”, in October 2016; “Claramunt. 50 anys del debut d´un mite”, in November 2016; and “L´equip elèctric. 75 anys de la primera Lliga”, in February 2017.
