VCF Femenino in early Sunday action against Oiartzun KE

High-flying VCF Femenino are visited by Oiartzun KE at the Estadio Antonio Puchades this weekend, as they take on their 23rd fixture of the Iberdrola Primera División Femenina RFEF season. The match takes place at 11:30am on Sunday, with free entry to see the Valencia CF women's team take on their latest challenge.

With 49 points to their name, VCF Femenino are currently third in the league table and come into the game off the back of victory against Athletic Club at Lezama. Their fightback from a goal down showed their strength of character, and kept them pushing the pace towards the top of the division.

Oiartzun KE are thirteenth with 14 points, and have gone 4 weeks since their last victory -at home to UD Tacuense. Away from home, they have just 1 win and 3 victories on their record for the season.

The two teams met earlier this season at the Karla Lekuona, with VCF Femenino winning 0-1. Last year, Cristian Toro's side won 8-0 in Valencia and 0-2 away.

Estefania Banini, VCF Femenino:

"We know that every side in this league are difficult to beat, although they all have different ways of playing. It is going to be a very tough game, as Oiartzun KE fight very hard. To counter this, we will need to be very precise. We are very happy that our recent results are reflecting what we do every day in training. However, we want to focus on the games ahead and on our day-to-day work."
