Valencia Mestalla want to get back to winning ways against Eldense

Valencia Mestalla want to put an end to their bad run of results on the road at Segunda División Grupo III’s bottom club, Eldense, on Sunday at 5pm.  Curro Torres’ side have gone four games without winning, after losing to Barcelona B and drawing with Sabadell, Llagostera and Atletico Levante. That’s why these three points are vital for keeping the dream alive of winning promotion to the second tier of Spanish football via the play-offs.

The Blanquinegro B team currently sit third in the table on 57 points, just ahead of Badalona on 56, Villarreal B on 55 and Atletico Baleares, who are in 6th place on 54 points. This makes Matchday 35 a key game if the team want to start picking up wins again and stay ahead of the chasing pack.

For this clash in Elda, VCF Mestalla head coach Curro Torres is unable to select Nacho Gil due to suspension, Cifu and Sito are injury doubts, and goalkeeper Antonio Sivera, who sustained an ankle injury away at Sabadell, is still unavailable. A positive for Curro Torres’ team is their consistency away from home; in 16 away games this season they have won 6, drawn 6, and lost 5.
