The first team breakthrough of a player who joined the VCF Academy at the age of 7

After making his debut in the preseason, he’s earned his place in the first team

Without doubt, Carlos Soler has become one of Spanish football’s hottest properties. Born in Valencia in 1997, he joined the Valencia CF Academy at the age of 7. He started life as a blanquinegro playing up front as a striker, where he scored over 500 goals and gave over 100 assists.

Last season, he made it into the VCF Mestalla squad, where he earned a regular spot in Curro Torres’ starting line-up and became a key member of the blanquinegro B team. It was the precursor to him taking the next step and making his dream of playing for the first team come true.

Carlos Soler was handed his first team debut during the preseason, on the 20th of July, 2016, against German side SC Preussen Munster, and he made his first appearance in a competitive game on Matchday 15 of the LaLiga against Real Sociedad, on the 10th of December.

In total, Carlos Soler has made 32 first team appearances; 22 in LaLiga, 3 in Copa del Rey, and 7 friendlies. He’s scored three goals, all in LaLiga, against Villarreal, Alavés and Celta.
