VCF Mestalla want to book their ticket for the next round at Mestalla

VCF Mestalla will be back with a bang at Mestalla for the second leg of the first round in the play-offs for promotion to la Liga 1|2|3. This Saturday, at 6pm, The Valencianista B team go into the huge game against Celta B with the advantage they took from last Sunday’s away win in Vigo (2-3).

Curro Torres’ side are confident they can build on the good result they got in Vigo. Great goals from Quim Araujo, Nacho Gil and Grego Sierra gave them the win; once again this season they showed just how competitive a team they are.

However, VCF Mestalla can’t be over-confident; they are up against one of the strongest sides in the division. Celta B have scored 76 goals and only failed to score in three league games this season. Curro Torres will have to make sure his defence are given good protection in order to help deal with Celta B’s attacking threat.

In terms of the squad, Curro Torres will be missing striker Aridai and captain Sergio Ayala, who are both out through injury. Celta B have a full squad with no players out injured or suspended.

VCF Mestalla know they have a lead to defend from the first leg, a match in which they were the better team by some margin. However, Celta B are a tough team to beat, and they won’t make it easy for the blanquinegros.

Mestalla will have an important role to play in this huge game for Curro Torres’ team. After recent games against Badalona and L’Hospitalet, the Valencia CF coliseum will have to turn into a pressure cooker for Celta B and be the 12th man for VCF Mestalla.
