Futbol Draft have announced the 132 young talents nominated for this year’s “Gold, Silver and Bronze” line-ups from Spanish youth football. The technical committee, made up of members from all Spanish football’s organising bodies (CSD, RFEF, LFP, AFE and AEAF), have chosen the following Valencia CF players, all of whom are members of the VCF Academy, specifically VCF Mestalla, and Juvenil A, apart from midfielder Carlos Soler, who is now a member of the first team squad.
The Valencianista nominees are Antonio Latorre for best left-back, Javi Jiménez and Hugo Guillamón for best left centre-back, Carlos Soler for best right midfielder, Ferrán Torres for best right winger, Álex Blanco for best left winger, Fran Villalba for best no.10 and Fran Navarro for best centre-forward.
Throughout the year, Futbol Draft will run three more technical committee meetings and, at the end of 2017, the Gold, Silver and Bronze line-ups will be decided, as well as the Gold line-up for women’s football. The technical committee meeting, led by former Spain head coach Iñaki Sáez, was attended by Javier Lasagabaster (Futbol Draft director), Albert Celades (Spain u21s head coach), Luis de la Fuente (Spain u19s head coach), Santi Denia (Spain u17s head coach), Vicente Miera (former Spain senior team head coach), Miguel Ángel España (RFEF goalkeeping coach), Juan Carlos Gómez Perlado (RFEF fitness coach), Raúl Ojeda (LFP), Ángel Caballero (AEAF president), Nacho Silván (youth football expert) and Ana Rossell (women’s football expert).
