Official Statement | Jesús Oliva, new Valencia CF Femenino head coach

He was the team’s assistant coach during the 2016/17 season

Jesús Oliva Albarca will be Valencia CF Femenino’s new first team head coach for the 2017/18 season. After it was announced that Cristian Toro would not be continuing in the role, the Club have taken the decision to appoint the team’s assistant coach during the 2016/17 season, a professional who has been a member of the Club’s coaching staff since the creation of the women’s team in 2009/10.

Jesús Oliva, who was born in Valencia on the 9th of June, 1970, takes on the role of head coach after a long journey up through the Valencia CF Femenino youth system, a journey which he began at the u12s level. In the 2015/16 season, his Valencia CF Femenino B team won the Second Division league title. He has also worked as VCFF youth system coordinator as well as coordinating Valencia CF Femenino football camps.

The Valencian coach has a wealth of both training and experience as a coach: He has a Degree in Sports Coaching for Football (National level Coaching Badge), training and experience in leadership of high performance teams, training and experience in Sports Coaching applied to high performance football, he participated in and developed Valencia CF Femenino’s Brain Training programme, and he also has training and experience as a football coach for people with learning disabilities, through the Valencia CF Foundation’s Blanquinegre Heart Schools initiative.
