The striker is optimistic about the match against Albacete
VCF Mestalla player Rafa Mir has spoken to the Club’s Official Radio Station, VCF Radio (101.5 FM) to analyse Sunday’s match against Albacete Balompié (0-1 in the first leg at Mestalla), the second leg of the third and final round of the play-offs for promotion to la Liga 1|2|3.
The role of the fans
“The supporters are really important, they’re playing a huge part in what we’re doing. We can feel their support and we hope to be able to make them happy. There are already a lot of coaches booked for the fans to travel; they’re right behind us and we’re going to give it our all.”
A team that fights to the very end
“We give everything we’ve got, we’re a team that fights to the very end as you’ve already seen. We’ve won a lot of games right at the death. It’s important for us to have that support from the fans; we’re going to fight for them and try to make them happy.”
It’s in our hands
“It’s in our hands, we have to fight to the very end. It’s just one goal, we’ve scored a lot of goals this season, so why can’t we achieve our aim? We’re calm and we know we’ve got what it takes. The game lasts 90 minutes, we don’t care if we score two in the last 5 minutes or one in the first minute and the other in the last minute. All we want is to get promotion, that’s what we’re fighting for.”
It’s time to put the cherry on top
“We’ve had a great season but the small details are the ones that will make the difference. We need to achieve our aim, it’s there for the taking and we don’t know when we’ll get another chance like this one.”
