Valencia CF keep unbeaten run going with a resounding 5-0 win over Malaga CF

A Zaza blistering hat-trick and another two goals  from Mina and Rodrigo lift VCF up into the upper echelons of the table

Valencia CF brought their three consecutive drawing run to an end with a resounding 5-0 home win over  Malaga with an eight-minute goal rush from Zaza which sealed the win for VCF. The team were really clinical up front. Three significant points to keep growing; as well as keeping their third straight clean sheet at home.

In the opening minutes, VCF came out looking to dictate the tempo in the game with both sides playing safely in order to avoid giving the ball away. On 16 minutes, Carlos Soler set up Santi Mina with an inch-perfect delivery into the head of Mina who headed It across the keeper. the goal gets him off the mark this season.  A minute later, Neto produced a magnificent stop to Rolan’s header to keep VCF in the lead turning it round for a corner.

Close to the 30-minute mark in the game a quick pin-point string of passes between  Guedes, Montoya and Carlos Soler as provider saw Zaza on the end of it who could not meet it as he was brought down as he was about to score the second of the game.

Malaga never backed down as they kept on testing Neto with a point-blank range effort from Mula as VCF were looking to double their lead before the break but the scoreline remained unchanged and VCF took a slim 1-0 lead over Malaga CF at the break.

A much spirited VCF came out in the second half, pushing the opposition on the back foot trying to round off the game. Guedes tested the keeper with a long-range shot. Speed merchant Carlos Soler, set up Zaza who appeared at the far post to slide it home and make it 2-0 for VCF which brought the Mestalla crowd delirious; later on his goalscoring instincts in the box saw him on the scoresheet again to make it 3-0 for VCF and another magnificent quick fire goal to grab a magnificent hat-trick in an 8 minute goal rush from the Italian.

Rodrigo sprung off the bench to complete the scoreline as VCF were back to winning ways with a five-star performance that brought the delight to Mestalla.
