Valencia CF go through to the last 16 with another win against Real Zaragoza (4-1)

Santi Mina's brace, impact substitute Rober and a Vezo last-gasp strike see Valencia CF  go through to the last 16

Valencia CF were back in Copa del Rey action in midweek against  the second tier side Real Zaragoza following their 1-1 draw against FC Barcelona on Sunday. Valencia CF secured a comfortable  2-0  in the away leg at La Romareda on October 24th. 
Valencia CF dictated the tempo in the opening minutes of the game. The first chance  fell to Santi Mina following a great Lato cross  but  he could not get on the end of it  ten minutes inside the first half.

Real Zaragoza had a rare foray into Valencia CF box with a shot by Buff  which was turned behind for a corner seven minutes later. Valencia CF  grew more and more into the  game so much so, that Pereira brought Ratón into a save with a long range effort.  Valencia CF   were pushinng  up field closing Real Zaragoza down into  their own  box. On the 20-minute mark Simone Zaza was bundled  over in the box, but the referee waved away his penalty appeal.

Santi Mina broke the deadlock halfway through the fisrt half with a tidy finish  from inside the area follwing a Zaza pass to set up the tie.Pereira boasted another shot from long range which skimmed past the post in the closing minutes of the first half.

Santi Mina ejoyed the last action of the first half  follwing a blistering  Lato run  down the channel who delivered a great cross into Santi Mina who headed it wide. Valencia CF edged Real Zaragoza at the break with a comfortable 3-0 scoreline on aggregate in the tie.

Mareclino's side  came out in the second  half looking  to keep up the good showing  from the first half displaying their stalls in attack. Simone  Zaza ejoyed  the  first  meaningful chance in attack by regaining possesion and firing it into the side netting eight minutes into the second half.

Santi Mina doubled Valencia CF's lead with a right footer just under the hour mark from  inisde the area follwing a great move. The goals galore as Marcelino shuffled  his pack which saw long-term injured Rober Ibáñez climbing off  the bench and getting  on the scoresheet   with a great left footer with  66 minutes on the clock.

Valencia CF youngster  Ferran Torres came on with less than twenty minutes of noramal time left to play to make his  first team debut  replacing  Nacho Gil. Valencia CF kept on pudhing  forward  trying to get more  goals so much so that Rea Zaragoza drew onw back in the closing minutes of the second  half  but there was still time for a late  goal  from  Vezo deepn into stoppage time.

The scoreline reamained  unchanged and  Valencia CF are  through to the last  16 with  a resounding 4-1  in the second leg over Real Zaragoza mush to the delight of the Mestalla crowd which enjoyed a goal fest.
