Anil Murthy reaches 100th day as a Valencia CF chairman

The Club is “better” than it was

Valencia CF chairman, Anil Murthy, reached on the 8th of October his 100th day as a Valencia CF chairman since taking over on the 1st of July. In an interview with Agencia EFE the chairman highlighted that the Club is “better” than it was over three months ago: “Honestly, it doesn’t surprise me, everything was planned out. The most important thing is to admit there’s a problem, finding the problems, changing them and that's what we've done. We’re in a situation of complete change. Nowadays there’s harmony between the players, manager and coaching staff.  On the sporting side, everything was more or less planned out since Mateu and Marcelino’s arrival, although it was really tough transfer window. Having Academy players in the first team, it’s a priority for us".

“The key, knowing and caring for the fan”

Regarding the new stadium, up to the chairman’s stand, "the current project makes a lot of sense.  I don’t want to see neither the largest nor the most beautiful stadium in Europe. We want a stadium for football purposes where the fans have a fantastic experience which is always full".

This project will be good for the club and the city, we’ve got the same aims. It all starts with the fans.  This matter poses an obligation but it provides us with the opportunity of a complete change regarding our relationship with the fans. In this way Murthy stressed that the club is working to get to know the fans directly in order to take care of them so that they feel proud of their club through thick and thin”and with that purpose the club is going to set into motion the Fans’Area project.
