Valencia CF played with three forwards together for the first time

In the 63rd minute of the game, Rubén Uría had all of his strikers on the pitch, but for the second time in La Liga so far, the team couldn't score

Valencia CF is the second highest-scoring team in LaLiga, with 33 goals, only topped by FC Barcelona with 36, but in Getafe they failed to score for the second time so far this season. Despite their 13 shots, the post and several important saves from goalkeeper Vicente Guaita prevented the Valencians from scoring, keeping the score at zero, as we had only previously seen in LaLiga's third matchday against Atletico Madrid (0-0).

While they looked for that goal, for the first time this season, Valencia CF played with three strikers at the same time: Zaza and Rodrigo started, while Santi Mina came on for Andreas in the 63rd minute of the game. Until now, in 11 of 14 games, one forward had always replaced another, the most frequent change being Santi Mina for Rodrigo (a change made in 6 games), followed by the three occasions that the Vigo-born stiker has replaced Zaza.

With all three forwards on the pitch, Zaza and Santi Mina were the reference points, with Rodrigo Moreno moving to the left with the freedom to move inside, allowing José Luis Gaya to get forward and get himself into the box several times in the final stages. Despite the optimistic experiment, and combining the three forwards, Guaita's saves stood in Valencia CF's way.
