Another exhibit for “Lucho” Vietto’s museum

It’s his fourth hat-trick as a footballer, with two brilliant goals which everyone is talking about

Luciano Vietto was delighted after the game. He went into the dressing room with the match ball in his hand and gave it to the coaching staff straight away so that his teammates could sign it one by one. It’s the fourth match ball for his museum, after two previous hat tricks wearing the Racing Club shirt and another with Sevilla FC, special nights just like Tueday, when he stunned Mestalla.

It was his first start for Valencia CF, six days after joining Marcelino’s side, and Vietto caused havoc at Mestalla, as he did in a Racing shirt against San Martín de San Juan (3-1) at just 18 years old. That day he became the youngest Racing player to score a hat trick and he did so in every way possible, just as he did at Mestalla. He shot from inside the box, with a brilliant lob over the onrushing goalkeeper and the third goal from exactly 42 metres out. A dream night. Power, timing, opportunism, movement, ability, finishing, quality… Vietto has a lot of qualities to increase the competition in attack for this team. And with confidence, he’s capable of anything.

A high-quality reinforcement, as the club goes for a more competitive team

Despite the excellent results achieved by Valencia CF in the first half of the season, which have put the team third in LaLiga and in the Copa del Rey quarter finals, the club wants to see an even more competitive team, and that’s where Vietto comes in. In LaLiga, Marcelino’s team is the second highest-scoring side, but despite that the club continues to invest and Mestalla is already enjoying its new star.
