The fans are proud of their team and know that they are going to keep fighting to hit their targets in LaLiga
When the referee called time on Thursday’s game at Mestalla, the crowd got on their feet and applauded their players. Despite being knocked out of the Copa del Rey at the hands of FC Barcelona, the fans continue to support the team unconditionally, as Marcelino’s men now move towards hitting their targets in LaLiga.
The squad showed their gratefulness for the support on the night, as they headed over to applaud the fans who have given them their backing over the 90 minutes. There is a strong bond between the players and the fanbase this season, with those who come to watch at Mestalla identifying with the spirit and determination shown by Marcelino’s lads. The standing ovation showed that the fans are going to stick by their team and help them onwards on their LaLiga journey.
While on the field, Jaume couldn’t hide his emotions: “the fans have been incredible, they have created a magical atmosphere,” he explained. Mestalla still has a lot to contribute over the rest of the campaign, with the 43,355 spectators that crammed into the ground to watch the second leg versus FC Barcelona able to make a lot of noise, and it will be a useful weapon during the months to come. Together we are stronger!
