Valencia CF return to their great objective of getting back to the Champions League

The dressing room is certain as Dani Parejo said: “Sunday’s game is a really important one for us”

There are 16 “finals” left, first up this Sunday at Mestalla (8.45 pm) against UD Levante, a game where the fans will play a significant role. Marcelinos side had a great performance in the cup, but they will continue to chase their great objective getting back to the Champions League.

Beyond the physical  toll that the squad went through in the knock –out  tie against FC Barcelona, Valencia CF are going to pick themselves back up and dust  themselves off  looking  to get  the win against their cross-town neighbours Levante UD who  claimed a point at home at Real Madrid (2-2).

Marcelino will set up a competitive line-up with some changes looking to battle for the win as they have been doing all season. There is a competitive DNA in the dressing room despite the obstacles as they are always targeting a win and the never back down and now it is time to focus in the domestic competition.

Marcelino’s side are three points clear of fifth–placed side Villareal CF as the team are already looking to bounce back to stay in the higher reaches of the table. It is not going to be an easy task because the second term is always tougher but as Rodrigo Moreno said, there’s still a lot to fight for until the end of the season. The fans are rallying around the team that have all eyes on picking up all three points at home against Levante UD, where the Mestalla crowd will play a key role in helping the team out to get back to winning ways.

Carlos Soler was adamant:” We set out the clear objective of being in the Champions League, we’re sitting there and we’ve got another battle coming up on Sunday”. Dani Parejo said we’ve got to bounce back Sunday’s game is a really important one for us”.  Jaume looks ahead:" our aim is to stay up in the table to play in Europe next season”.
