Carlos Soler: "We've got eight home games left to play and the fans are going to be key"

Valencia CF are fully focused on Sunday’s derby at (Mestalla 8.45pm), their first of their eight home  games at Mestalla. Marcelino highlighted the impact that the fans are going to have until the end of the season, a role which Carlos Soler considers key to achieving the great aim, going back to the Champions League.

“The fans have supported us through the hard times there have been games where things weren’t going our way and they cheered us on, and that’s what’s important  for us because that shines through on the pitch and makes it tougher for the opposition . They‘re going to push us on a lot in these eight home games left and they will be proud of us".

And first up is the city derby at Mestalla which is coming off the back of a huge effort put in the tie against FC Barcelona as Soler himself points out “We’ve put a massive shift in, both in LaLiga and in the cup, we’ve played really tough games.

The truth is that we’ve got a few injured players  but  we’re going to battle it out in  the city derby like we should  to stay in the upper reaches of the table which where we are and where we want to be. “We’re going to fight for it to the maximum to get the win in the city derby”.

The players are proud of the unconditional support they are getting from the stands, and so are the fans because they identify themselves with the values that the players are transmitting, fighting all the way to get the win regardless of who the opposition are while keeping the bond between the fans and the team which will take them closer to meeting their aim.

For that reason, picking up the wins at Mestalla are going to be significant “We’ve got eight home games left to play and the fans have always been behind us and they’re going to be key, the 12th man which is definitely going to give us something extra which the opposition will notice”says Carlos Soler, who is all about picking up all three points against UD Levante on Sunday.
