Banega vs Parejo
Both of these playmakers are key to their respective teams. Valencia CF’s captain is the midfielder to have contributed to the most goals in LaLiga, with six goals and six assists to his name. Banega has managed two goals and two assists. Parejo has made 1,714 passes, compared to Banega’s 1,401, but the Sevilla FC midfielder has made more crosses than his adversary (33 to 29). Both players work hard to contribute defensively too, with Parejo recovering the ball 223 times, compared to Banega’s 156.
Mercado vs Gabriel Paulista
Since Montella’s appoint as Sevilla FC boss, Gabriel Mercado has stepped up to the plate at centre back and looks more at home than when he would previously featured at right back. Gabriel has won back the ball on 118 occasions in LaLiga, compared to Mercado’s 89, with the Valencia CF centre back interceptions more balls too (32 to 24). Mercado has made more blocks, however, with the Argentine defender denying 13 shots compared to Paulista’s seven, but the Brazilian is more of a threat offensively, trying his luck on 12 occasions compared to his adversary’s 11.
Ben Yedder vs Rodrigo
After scoring 17 goals across all competitions this season, Wissam Ben Yedder is Sevilla FC’s top goalscorer. Rodrigo comes into the weekend in improved form, after finding the back of the net against Real Betis last weekend. In LaLiga, the Spaniard has netted 10 goals, compared to the Frenchman’s six. The Sevilla FC forward has tried his luck on 30 occasions, while Rodrigo has let off 43 shots. While showing his intelligence out on the field, Rodrigo has contributed four assists, compared to one from Ben Yedder, with the Valencia CF forward also offering more crosses (21 to 6).
