LaLiga's goalkeeper with the most saves (28)
Valencia CF’s Brazilian goalkeeper Norberto Murana ”Neto” was one of Saturday’s standout players at the Ramón-Sánchez Pizjuán against Sevilla FC alongside two-goal man, Rodrigo Moreno to come away with all three points.Neto made a full array of stops during key moments in the game which put his name on the list for the 2018 Russia World Cup with Tite’s side as former Brazil goalkeeper, Cláudio Taffarel admitted.
When Valencia CF signed Norberto Murana from Juventus, they knew that they were getting a goalkeeper that was tough to beat who would bring in experience and insurance between the sticks alongside fellow goalkeeper Jaume Doménech.
Norberto Murana’s father was also a goalkeeper and he looks up to him so he followed in his father’s footsteps. Neto settled himself in the squad and his hard work and dedication are bearing fruit at Valencia CF making him the goalkeeper with the most saves (89) and the fourth LaLiga goalkeeper with fewest goals conceded (28).
Neto has now found his feet under Marcelino at Valencia CF and he is contributing to getting the team back to the Champions League next season with match-saving stops and fine performances like Saturday away at Sevilla FC.
