Since his return at San Mamés, the French central midfielder has been decisive in attack, with a goal and three assists
“Kondogbia, since his return, has been at a really high level” said Marcelino in the press room at the Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday. And he’s right. Having been obliged to take a break against Málaga CF and Real Sociedad, after playing with an injury for a few games, he returned at San Mamés (1-1) scoring the equaliser, gave an assist for Zaza against Real Betis (2-0) and he won the game against Sevilla FC (0-2) with two assists for Rodrigo Moreno. A goal and three assists in three games highlight the amazing performances of the French player on the pitch.
At Valencia CF he’s showing what he can do in attack, with four goals and four assists, numbers that he hadn’t attained with any other club as a professional. Until now, his best figures had been at AS Monaco, where in two seasons he scored three goals and provided three assists.
Guedes, Zaza and Rodrigo have all benefitted from his vision, the latter two in the last two league games. The French footballer ended the game at the Sanchez Pizjuan with a knock, which will now be evaluated to determine the extent of the injury.
