The Dutch defender which arrived in January extends her contract until the 2018-19 season
Just over three months have been enough for the Dutch player to get offered a contract extension to the Dutch defender who arrived at VCFF in January. The Netherlands’ captain who were crowned champions in the Women’s Euro 2017 and the Club have reached an agreement which sees the player at the club until June 30th of 2019.
Some of Mandy’s attributes are good anticipation, good at bringing the ball out from the back, strength, leadership, good shooting skills and professionalism. The 28-year old left-footed Dutch defender made her VCFF against Santa Teresa (1-1) and she has been in the starting line-up ever since.
Mandy has 90 caps for her country at 28 years of age. She began her career at ADO Den Haag, a First Division club in the Netherlands, where she won the league and cup. From there she left for the Swedish league, to play for Vittjsö. The player also has experience in the Women’s Champions League, after her time at Lillestrom SK in Norway, where she won the league and cup. Her most recent teams, before her arrival at Valencia CF, were Liverpool FC and Reading Women’s, both in the FA WSL.
