JSSL 0–3 VCF U16s

The opening stage of the JSSL Singapore International Soccer 7s couldn't have gone much better for VCF. The U16s are top and unbeaten with six wins and a draw, the latest result being a comfortable 3-0 win over hosts JSSL FC. Early goals from Jesús Vázquez and Álex Olmedo got them underway, while David Ruiz scored later from the penalty spot. Now it's onto the semi-finals...

Line-up: Carlos Pérez, Jesús Vázquez, Jesús Díaz, Hugo González, David Ruiz and Darío Serra. Substitutes: Israel Ull, Iker Gallardo, Andrés García.

Urawa Red Diamonds 1-2 VCF U16s

VCF U16s are on a stunning run of results in this tournament. Javi Sanchis’ side claimed a 1-2 win over Urawa Red Diamonds thanks to two-goal hero Andrés García in what was a tight encounter against one of the most in-form sides of the competition.

Javi Sanchis' side had to dig deep to chisel out the win against tough opposition who came back in the dying embers of the game but VCF U16s' second goal of the day will see the march on to the semi-finals of the tournament.

VCF U16s 2-0 Fulham FC

VCF U16s are on an unstoppable unbeaten streak, they got a 2-0 win against Fulham Football Club with Israel Uli and Darío Serra on the scoresheet. Ruben Iranzo’s injury was the downside for VCF U16s following a rash challenge from behind. The player might have sustained a sprain which could see him out of the tournament.

VCF U16s were resolute at the back against a great Fulham side who played a direct brand of football. There are two games remaining in this first stage of the tournament, up against Urawa Red Diamonds and the local side JSSL FC.

Valencia CF U16s earned a point against Perth Glory FC in an evenly-matched game in which the opponent was stronger physically. Javi Sanchis' team showed they are ready to give their all in this prestigious tournament and got the draw thanks to a headed goal from Israel Ull.
