The two Valencia CF players were at Julen Lopetegui’s disposal on Monday evening

Rodrigo and Carlos Soler have already started their preparations with Spain ahead of the World Cup, with the latter part of the group as one of Julen Lopetegui’s reserve options. Both players were involved in La Roja’s first training session.

Carlos Soler has already impressed with Spain Under 21s, with the young midfielder in a team alongside De Gea, Azpilicueta, Yeray, Monreal, Thiago, Koke, Silva and Rodrigo in a game on a reduced-size pitch. After a few days of rest, Lopetegui got his players back working bit by bit, with Sunday bringing with it Spain’s first friendly.

Nemanja Maksimovic was also involved in training with Serbia, ahead of their first friendly on June 4th. On that day, he will find out if he will be going as part of the final squad to Russia.

Guedes played the last 20 minutes against Tunisia

Portugal played their first friendly in preparation for the World Cup on Monday night, with Guedes coming off the bench during a 2-2 draw with Tunisia. He replaced Bernardo Silva on the right-hand side and was very busy and looked to create problems.

Zaza was unable to feature against Saudi Arabia

VCF’s Italian striker wasn’t able to be part of the match-day squad for Italy’s friendly against Saudi Arabia, with Zaza not at 100% physically. His country did pull off a 2-1 victory, however.
