VCF kick off their Centenary pre-season preparations

The VCF players will steadily carry out fitness, medical tests and their first session on the training pitch

Valencia CF’s 2018-19 side get underway following the summer break. Marcelino’s side will get their pre-season campaign underway in what will be an exciting season after securing Champions League football next season and for the Centenary celebrations.

Valencia CF’s first-team players will start preseason preparations on July the 5th by steadily re-joining training in order to start the subsequent medical tests before starting the fitness and tactical work at VCF Paterna Training Ground.

The medical tests will consist of stress cardiologic, lung capacity podiatric and dental check-ups which will run until Tuesday 10th of July at VCF’s Paterna Training Ground and at the Universidad Catolica under Valencia CF’s head of Medical staff, Pascual Casañ.

From the 8th of July, on top of the thorough medical check-ups the players will undergo complete fitness tests coordinated by the fitness coach Isma Fernandez on Tuesday, July 10th the players will take part their first evening training of the season on training pitch number one of Valencia CF’s Paterna Training Ground. The players who have been called up to carry out fitness and medical tests are:

Jaume, Neto, Cristian Rivero, Montoya, Vezo, Murillo, Gabriel Paulista, Garay, Javi Jiménez, Diakhaby, Gayà, Lato, Centelles, Maksimovic, Parejo, Kondogbia, Carlos Soler, Ferran Torres, Medrán, Uros Racic, Alex Blanco, Sito, Nani, Simone Zaza and Santi Mina.

Rodrigo Moreno will join up his teammates following his World Cup break as Coquelin is still on his road to recovery. Nacho Gil and Nacho Vidal have been given the Club’s permission to delay their return to work to rejoin their teammates in training.
