Mónica Flores, Valencia CF Ladies’ second reinforcement

The player for Mexico’s international team can work for both sides

Mónica Flores is a new addition to Valencia CF Ladies for the next two seasons, until 30th June 2020. Flores, the 22-year-old defender, has no problem also playing as a left or right winger. Although she was born in the United States, she has Mexican nationality, too, playing internationally for la Selección Absoluta de México

Mónica has come from Notre Dame Women´s Soccer in the NCAA League (USA). The footballer, born on 31st January 1996 in Livingston (New Jersey, USA) is 160cm tall and weighs 55kg, demonstrating physical strength, technical positioning and remarkable mental capability, which combined make her unbeatable by rivals

Flores: “I chose Valencia CF because it is one of the most competitive teams in la Liga Iberdrola, has a fantastic structure and gives me the opportunity to grow as a footballer and a person. The atmosphere will be very competitive and I’m delighted to emigrate to a country like Spain. The project was very convincing, in everything from its agreed playing style, day-to-day excellence, and the Club’s female football facilities to each and every one of the resources that make it the ideal platform to achieve positive results. There are few clubs that have the same vision nowadays, especially regarding women’s football”.

“I also really like the Liga Iberdrola”, she continued, “it has grown a huge amount and I feel that the style of play that it offers goes well with my strengths as a player. This season I can only hope for great things, and I’m sure that with the work of my teammates we can get Valencia CF to the position that it deserves in the league tables. Amunt!”
