Wass is the second Danish player in the history of Valencia CF to join the team.

He is following in Frank Arnessen´s footsteps, the club's top scorer in the 1981-82 season.

Daniel Wass, born in Gladsaxe (Denmark), is the second Danish footballer to wear the Valencian jersey in an official match, following in the footsteps of Frank Arnessen.

The Danish forward from Ajax played in Valencia CF´s 1981-82 season, starting with his debut in a friendly match against Argentina where he began to captivate fans, scoring a total of 17 goals in the seasons´s official matches. Elegant, fast, and intelligent, he was also known for his powerful and precise shot, becoming the team's top scorer. In the summer of 1982, an inopportune injury to his knee´s meniscus prevented him from playing the rest of the season, after which he signed for RSC Anderlecht.

As a young 29 year old, Daniel Wass has already had extensive experience at an elite level, with more than 400 games both at the club level and on Denmark´s national team. After three seasons at RC Celta, Wass hoped to continue growing in a club that played the UEFA Champions League, like Valencia CF.
