Marcelino's team will play its first two pre-season friendlies in Switzerland, in the context of ‘Festival de Football des Alpes’
On 20th July, Valencia CF will take off for Switzerland, more specifically a town named Crans-Montana, in the heart of the Swiss Alps. The visit is for their usual pre-season phase, whereby they will play their first two friendlies in the neighboring town of Lens, as part of the “Festival de Football des Alpes”. The first match is on Saturday 21st July against Galatasaray SK (6pm) at the St. Léonard de Friburgo stadium (Switerland), whilst the second is on 24th July against Lausanne Sport (6:30pm) at the Christ Roi de Lens stadium.
The first rival to be faced in the pre-season is the current champion of the Turkish Superleague, and, like Valencia, will also play in the upcoming Champions League. Three days later, the team managed by Marcelino will face up to a local team who competed in last season’s Swiss Super League, where they will try to return this season. Before their return to Valencia, the team will travel to Holland on 28th to place PSV Eindhoven (7pm) at the Philips Stadion.
