VCF versus Juventus FC (0-2)

Valencia CF had a good start with the first chance for Guedes but it went high after a combination with Michy Batshuayi in the second minute of the game. Valencia CF defended well with Juventus creating chances.

Carlos Soler and sent a great ball to Gonçalo Guedes but Wojciech Szczesny saved it in the 23rd minute of the game. Six minutes later Cristiano Ronaldo received a straight red after a bad foul on Jeison Murillo.

Michy Batshuayi had another chance with his right foot that was saved by Wojciech Szczesny. Six minutes later, Michy Batshuayi and Daniel Parejo combined but the captain sent his shot high of the target.

Juventus FC made it 1-0 from 11 meters as Miralem Pjanic scored it in the 45th minute of the game. The first half finished 0-1 for Juventus FC.

Valencia CF had a good start in the second half and looking to make 1-1.  Mich Batshuayi had the first chance of the second half with a shot that went high of the target in the 46th minute. Two minutes later, Rodrigo Moreno had another go after Gayà put it in the box.

Unfortunately, Murillo was shown the yellow card for a bad foul on Bonucci in the 49th minute and Miralem Pjanic made it 0-2 for Juventus FC from 11 meters. Marcelino made two substitutions Cheryshev and Gameiro and Santi Mina.

Carlos Soler had two shot from outside the area but both of them went high. Despite trying with 11 players and a penalty in extra time which was saved by Wojciech Szczesny,  Valencia CF lost 0-2 versus Juventus FC. Valencia CF will now play versus Villarreal CF on Sunday at 18:30  in the  Estadio de La Cerámica.
