Jose Luis Gayà reaches 150 official matches with Valencia CF at 23 years of age

Juan Antonio Pizzi made him debut in LaLiga on April 27, 2014 against Atlético de Madrid

The international left-back, who made his debut on Tuesday against Croatia with the national team at the Estadio Martínez Valero in Elche, played this Saturday in Mestalla against Betis reaching the historic figure of 150 official matches with Valencia CF.

The Pedreguer player, who started the game worked hard on defense and joined the attack, forming a good tandem with Cheryshev. The only pity of this beautiful event is that Valencia CF could only draw against Betis despite trying until the final whistle.

Gayà reaches this historic figure at Valencia CF six years after Mauricio Pellegrino who was coach then, made him debut with the first team with only 17 years old on October 30, 2012 in the first leg of Copa del Rey vs EU Llagostera.

Gayà, one of the captains of the current Valencia CF, has played 121 matches in the First Division, 7 in the Champions League, 7 in the Europa League and 15 in the Copa del Rey. In addition, he can brag about being the youngest debutant in the history of the Club in Europe, since he played against Kuban Krasnodar with 18 years, 6 months and 17 days, in Mestalla, in the UEFA Europa League.
