The Valencia CF captain provided the opening goal of the game against Huesca
A week on from making his 300th official appearance for Valencia CF, Dani Parejo led the team to victory against SD Huesca on Matchday 17. The captain contributed the opening goal of the game, scored off a Denis Cheryshev cutback from the left. Parejo stroked the ball home, past Huesca goalkeeper Roberto Santamaria, for his 47th strike for the club.
“We suffered in order to win, but we won," said Parejo after the game. "It's time to disconnect, reflect and come back refreshed."
After the game he was presented with a special commemorative shirt for his appearance milestone by club president Anil Murthy. Parejo is now amongst the 30 players to have featured in the most games for Valencia CF.
