The Frenchman gave his thoughts after the 2-2 draw with Betis
With his goal against Real Betis late in the Copa del Rey semifinal first leg, Kevin Gameiro found the net for the second time in less than a week. The Frenchman had suffered a knock to the head in the game at the Camp Nou on Saturday, but was subbed on in the 57th minute at the Benito Villamarin to make an impact up front.
"We're happy. We had a good game, we scored two away goals and we know how important that is," he commented after the match.
"We've got another 90 minutes ahead and anything can happen in football, so in order to get through to the final of the Copa del Rey we will have to win at Mestalla."
"Physically and mentally I feel good, as do the team," he continued. "Now we're at an important point of the season that should be good, we're in form and we have to continue like this. We always fight to the end, and that's how we are going to continue. We've scored two away goals and that's good for us."
